SignVideo gives you access to an online interpreter allowing you to communicate with us using BSL sign language. It’s free, simple, fast and secure. 

You can use it in your browser or you can get the app.​

​You can also use SignVideo for online face to face interpreter services at your hospital appointments or at our Customer Hub for Employment, Social Security and Housing enquiries.

You can use SignVideo:​

  • on your phone to call the Government of Jersey or the hospital 
  • at a hospital appointment ​using the face to face interpreter service
  • on our self service kiosks in our customer service centre. Press the SignVideo icon and our Welcome Host will help you to access the Government service you need

​Devices you need to use SignVideo​

You need a smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC and a good WiFi connection, or you can use your mobile data at a cost.

iOS devices need the operating system to ​be version 8 or upward​s, Android devices need the operating system to be version 4.4 or upwards, Windows PCs operating system need to be i3 or above and you'll need to use the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 9
  • Firefox for Windows
  • Safari for Mac
