Employment by place of birth and gender
In relative terms, employment levels in Jersey are high.
In 2021, 84% of people of working age in Jersey were economically active (in work or looking for work).
The lowest rate was for Jersey-born residents (79%) and the highest rate for people born in Poland (93%).
The economic activity rate for Jersey-born residents of working age was lower than the rates of those born in other jurisdictions.
This is as a result of the number of Jersey-born people in full-time education.
