VAT on goods sent from Jersey to UK
Jersey Post and UK Customs have agreed for VAT to be collected on goods sent by post from Jersey to the UK as follows:
- the accounting of UK Import VAT on commercial consignments (excluding alcohol, tobacco and tobacco products) not exceeding £873, that would otherwise be chargeable on the goods on importation into the UK
- using agreed postal routes other than those through an Office of Exchange which is a Post Office which is manned by UK Customs
Traders wanting to use the pre-pay arrangements
