Notes on your email address
You must be able to receive emails to complete your registration and to receive services. Please check carefully that you have entered your email address correctly in both email entry boxes. Once you have registered an email address you will not be able to change it.
If you accidentally enter a different email address in the second box you will receive an error message - you will not be able to complete your registration. If you have mistakenly used an invalid email address format you will receive an error message - please check your email address again.
What should I enter in the first and last name boxes?
The names you enter in the first and last name boxes will be saved to your profile once you have completed your registration. If you need to change your name you can do so at any time by editing your profile when signed in to your account. Messages sent to you from will be addressed to the first name and last name you provide.
Notes on your password
To help protect your privacy your password must follow certain rules:
- it must be at least 8 characters long
- it must contain at least one letter
- it must contain at least one number
- it cannot be the same as your email address
If your password does not follow the rules above, you will receive an error message and you will not be able to complete your registration - please select another password.

Conditions relating to your use of this service
All services are delivered subject to the standard terms and conditions of use for gov.je. The following terms and conditions are specific to the use of this service.
1. Your account
If you register to use this service, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your email address and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.
Ensure that the details you provide us with are correct and complete and inform us of any changes to the information that you provided when registering. You can access and update much of the information you provided us with in the Edit your profile area.
The States of Jersey reserve the right to refuse access, terminate accounts, remove or edit content at our discretion.
2. Privacy
Please review our privacy statement, which governs your visit to this service.
3. Access
We aim to ensure that availability of this service is uninterrupted and that content and services are error-free, however, this cannot be guaranteed. Your access may be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. In these instances, we do attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.
4. Reporting a problem
If you have a problem, use the 'Feedback' tool found in the bottom right hand corner of the window or contact us via telephone or email. Feedback sent via the feedback tool is delivered to the States of Jersey Digital Delivery Team who are responsible for gov.je.
5. Changes to terms and conditions of use
The States of Jersey reserve the right to change these terms and conditions of use at any time.

What personal information do we gather about you?
We only store the information you save when you register with us and update your profile. You can see all the personal information we hold on you, and correct any inaccurate information yourself by signing in and editing your profile.
To protect your privacy we will only confirm details of your account by email in reply to an email from the address you have registered with.
What do we use your information for?
We use your information for the requested purposes - to deliver services to you and to improve the way we provide services. We may share your information with the departments who provide these services. We will not send you information about new services unless you have asked to receive this. From time to time we may use information you provide to contact you and ask you for feedback on our services.
Do you share my information?
We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property or safety of the platform, our users or others. This does not include selling, renting, sharing or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from you for commercial purposes or in a way that is contrary to the commitments made in this privacy policy.
How secure is information about me?
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personally identifiable customer information.
Signing out
It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign out when you finish using a shared computer. The option to logout is available in the top right corner of any of our pages.
What choices do I have?
You can choose not to save any personal information in your profile. You will still be able to access all of our services. If you do not save any personal information in your profile you will have to manually enter information into some online forms that would otherwise be completed automatically. You must provide us with a valid email address to receive services.
