In the Royal Court of the Island of Jersey (Samedi Division) between SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank (CI) Limited (the First Representor) and SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited, Jersey Branch (the Second Representor).

Notice of transfer of deposit taking business 

This Notice is hereby given pursuant to paragraph 4(a) of the Schedule to the Banking Business (Jersey) Law 1991:


1. On 12 May 2022 the Representors together issued a Representation seeking an Order of the Royal Court of Jersey sanctioning a scheme (the Scheme) under which the whole of the deposit taking business carried on in or from within Jersey and certain ancillary business also carried on in or from within Jersey by the First Representor is to be transferred to the Second Representor.

2. The Representors have made copies of:

(a) the said Representation; and

(b) the report of an independent auditor (the Report)

available for inspection (or for collection free of charge) at all reasonable times at the offices of the Representors at the address given below up to and including the date of the court hearing. In addition, copies of the Report can be obtained free of charge by downloading from the website at https://www.kleinworthambros.com/en/important-information/bank-transfer, or by telephone on +44(0)207 597 3290 or +44 (0)1534 815 555, until the date on which the Court sanctions the Scheme.

3. The application to sanction the Scheme is due to be heard by the Royal Court at the Royal Court House, Royal Square, St Helier, Jersey on 15 August 2022 at 9.00am.

4. Any person (including any employee of any of the Representors) who alleges that they would be adversely affected by the carrying out of the Scheme is entitled to be heard by the Royal Court of Jersey.  If you plan to object at the court hearing, we recommend that you contact us on the telephone numbers above or write to us no later than 8 August 2022, at our Customer Relations address: SG Hambros House, 18 Esplanade, Jersey, JE4 8PR.
