Changes to the traffic and parking arrangements on La Motte Street and Hilary Street

​​The Minister for Infrastructure, in pursuance of Article 68 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956, as amended, and after consultation with the Connétable of St Helier, gives notice of the following traffic changes to paying parking places and disabled parking on La Motte Street and Hilary Street. 

These changes will take effect from Thursday 12 September 2024.

Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Jersey) Order 1996

​Introduced to the schedule of the order:​

Schedule 8, Parking Places on Roads, Part 1 Paying Parking Places, 20 minute limit

La Motte Street: 

• ​North Side (from a point 12 yards west of the western boundary of No. 39 for 7 yards in a westerly direction)
  

Schedule 8, Parking Places on Roads, Part 2 Paying Parking Places, 1 hour limit 

Hilary Street:

• ​East side (between a point 22 yards north of La Motte Street and a point 7 yards further north)
  

Road Traffic (Disabled Persons) (Parking)(Jersey) Order 2002

Schedule 1, Parking Places for Vehicles used by Disabled Persons, St Helier Parking Places, 2 hour limit

La Motte Street:

• ​North Side (from a point 2 yards east of the western boundary of No. 37 for 22 yards in a westerly direction)
  

St Helier Parking Places, 4 hour limit

Hilary Street:

• East side (between a point 9 yards north of La Motte Street and a point 13 yards further north​
