About the consultation
Four new cycle shelters are being installed in St Helier as part of a four month pilot scheme to encourage islanders to cycle in and out of town.
This pilot scheme is part of the Sustainable Transport Strong Start Delivery Plan designed to respond to the Climate Emergency by encouraging more active travel and reducing the numbers of cars on the roads.
The covered cycle shelters are located at:
- Les Jardins car park near the cycle track
- at the front of Sand Street car park
- on the Esplanade next to the Finance Centre offices
- near the traffic lights at the bottom of Gloucester Street
We would like your views, whether you are a cyclist or not, on the designs and locations of the cycle shelters.
Your responses will help determine if these should be made permanent and whether more covered cycle shelters should be provided and where.
