About the consultation
The Minister for External Relations, Deputy Ian Gorst, is seeking views on proposed changes to the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and FATCA Regulations (together referred to as the AEOI Regulations).
The changes are intended to:
- ensure that Jersey's legal framework for the CRS remains fully in line with global expectations
- address some concerns raised by industry about a potential lack of clarity regarding the way in which certain penalties are imposed under the CRS and FATCA Regulations
The responses to the consultation will inform changes to the Regulations which will be considered by the States Assembly in the summer of 2024.
Revenue Jersey will collate and provide respondents' comments on these proposals to the Minister.
