Background

Redesigning children and young people's emotional wellbeing and mental health is an immediate priority for the Government of Jersey.

We have been working to improve services and support for Islanders emotional wellbeing and mental health through the:

This draft Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Strategy builds on all this previous work. It takes into account the COVID-19 pandemic and sets out a clear direction.

The draft Strategy has been co-produced with children, young people, parents, carers and professionals. It sets out 16 actions to take forward change over the next four years. Not all actions will start at once. They will start at different stages across the four years. This will help us make change and improve services in the best ways. There will be detailed plans developed as we move forward, so everyone understands what is happening, when and why.

Strategic Advisory Panel (SAP)

We want to set up a new SAP. This will help us check how the strategy is working and delivered over the next four years. It will include young people (over the age of 13), professionals and people working in the community. There is an opportunity in this feedback for you to say whether you are interested in being part of the SAP.

The aims of this consultation are to:

  1. Get feedback that can help us produce the final Strategy
  2. Prioritise action points so we are clear which ones we should focus on first
  3. Find out who is interested in being part of the SAP

Support for your mental health and wellbeing
