About the consultation

Jersey is a successful exporting nation with internationally-recognised goods and world-leading services, but there has never been a dedicated Export Strategy to look at opportunities to grow exports across sectors.

This public consultation will be used to develop the strategy in preparation for publication at the end of 2022.

The Green Paper sets out a high level overview of the current context and how exports feature right across Jersey’s economy, and presents seven broad work streams which will frame engagement on exports over the next five months:

  • improved data
  • new exporter support
  • grow existing exporters
  • protect leading exporters
  • export logistics
  • international engagement
  • sustainable trade

Export Strategy Green Paper

Two surveys

There are two ways in which you can contribute to the consultation:

  • The Export Strategy Green Paper Consultation seeks views on the opportunities and barriers in relation to each of the seven workstreams
  • The Export Strategy Business Survey seeks to gather data and insights from businesses which are currently or potentially exporting

Both surveys close on 11 September 2022
