About the consultation

Transport and Technical Services is proposing to install a new pedestrian refuge island on La Route de St Aubin, at Bel Royal adjacent to Bel Royal Garage.

The new island will make it more convenient and safer for pedestrians to cross the road.

The changes will include:
  • dropped pavements with tactile paving
  • removal of three car parking spaces

The removal of the parking will improve safety for vehicles, especially buses and other large vehicles that are currently forced to cross the central white line when travelling westwards.
