About the consultation

Transport and Technical Services is proposing to provide two new zebra crossings on the junction of Grenville Street and Green Street, St Helier where there is an existing pedestrian island.

The new crossings would include:

  • widening of pavements on the north, east and west of the junction
  • zebra crossings with Belisha beacons to cross Grenville Street

The existing island is well used by pedestrians to cross the busy junction. The new zebra crossings and widened pavements will make it easier for pedestrians and drivers to see each other and promote safer crossing.
