About the consultation

​The Minister for the Environment has received an application for a Discharge Permit (reference DP(B)2022/10/01) to discharge treated groundwater from site dewatering during excavations at the old Cyril Le Marquand site, St Helier, Jersey, JE4 8QT. 

This is a consultation made under the Water Pollution (Jersey) Law 2000. 

Any person who wishes to comment on the application should do so in writing to the Minister at the address below.

The Minister will provide the applicant with copies of all comments. The applicant may respond to these comments by writing to the Minister within 14 days of receipt of the copies. 

No decisions will be made by the Minister until the time limits for making comments have elapsed.

How to submit comments to the consultation

​Anyone who wants to make representations under Article 10 (Water Pollution (Jersey) Law 2000) can email Regulator at envprotection@gov.je. All representations must be received by 3 May 2023 (no later than 7 days following the period for inspection) and quoting the application reference (DP(B)2022/10/01). 

Copies of representations will be passed to the applicant and may be published online. The applicant will have the right of reply to any representations. The applicant may respond to these comments by writing to the Regulator within 14 days of receipt of the copies.
