As at 19 November 2016 (date of this request) there were 17 plates in operation.

Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to the data in order to protect the identity of individuals.

The Scheduled Public Authority is not aware of any taxi drivers that are certified or classified as disabled. As part of the application process to obtain a badge to drive a taxi / cab, the applicant is required to have a medical form completed by their doctor confirming they are fit to drive a taxi / cab.

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.
(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –
(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and
(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
