Cost of Managers to Leaders Course (FOI)

Please confirm the total cost to the States of Jersey of the Mangers to Leaders Course which is currently being delivered, including the costs incurred to date in relation to flights, travel and accommodation incurred by those delivering the course.

Please confirm which local businesses were approached to deliver this course and why it was decided to commission the services of an off Island business.

Response

The Managers to Leaders Course full delivery costs are £513,000, travel and accommodation costs to date are £19,000.

A full tender process was undertaken which was advertised in both local media and on the e-portal system. Potential bidders were asked to register an expression of interest and 57 companies did so, which then lead to a total of 11 of these companies’ subsequently submitting proposals. Of the 11 who submitted a bid proposal five companies were local / Jersey based.  

The outcome of the shortlisting and evaluation process resulted in none of the Jersey / Local bidders being shortlisted, scoring below the other proposals received.
