Request

Does the hospital and the prison and all other departments within the states treat all people regardless of gender with respect?

If not which ones?

Do all departments have an anti-discrimination policy including schools.

Response

All employees of the States of Jersey are expected to treat all service users with the necessary dignity and respect as would be expected of a public servant.

The States of Jersey has an Equality and Diversity policy and a Civil service code of conduct which establishes the behaviours expected.

Certain departments, such as Education, Health and Social Services, La Moye Prison and the States of Jersey Police, have departmental policies designed to support the overarching policy framework.
