The most commonly used mode of transport by States members was aeroplane.

D

The most used airline was British Airways. The most used class of travel was economy Class.

States members have not used first class travel over the last three years and have used business class travel on ten trips over the last three years.

Notes:

  • we have taken the ‘last five years’ to mean January 2012 to December 2016 and the ‘last three years’ to mean January 2014 to December 2016
  • the above information has been identified and extracted to the best of our ability using information from our approved travel supplier (Hogg Robinson Group)
  • where States members have been routed through connecting airports to international destinations we have classed this as one trip and have not included the connecting flights as a separate destination
  • where States members have used rail journeys en route to their destination, these have not been included as separate trips
