I would like to know from the data you have previously presented to me, what courses Jersey students studied at Southampton Solent University. The data provided only highlights categories for all university's. A breakdown would make it easier for me to analyse.

Also, I am not sure if you can breakdown the data down to show the student’s college / sixth form. For example:

  • College name
  • Course studying at Solent University
  • Year of entry

Can I please have this data for the last two years?

Response

Due to the small numbers involved, publication of the information requested about students’ course choices and sixth forms would render some Jersey students at Southampton Solent University identifiable. The information is therefore exempt under Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
