States owned property assets (FOI)

Are you able to release details on the current property assets held or owned by the States of Jersey / public and provide a list of those which you are looking to dispose of within the next year and how they are marketed to the public?

Response

Please find the attached report on properties owned by the Public of the Island, sorted by parish and then by property name. The list also includes eight parish owned primary schools in which the public have a statutory interest, rather than a freehold interest. The list does not include properties that are leased-in by the public.

The following four properties have been identified for disposal and are expected to progress to completion during the current year:

• Le Boulevard Flats, Grouville

• 10 Grosvenor Terrace, St Helier

• Beau Sejour, St Helier

• Piquet House, St Helier

This may not be an exhaustive list as the public is approached from time to time by third-parties to seek to acquire land in public ownership. The identified properties as listed above will be marketed through an appointed agent in due course.
