Request

In each of the years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, how many applications;

A

Were lodged with the Royal Court asking that letters of request be issued and delivered to;

i) the English High Court seeking assistance by way of the appointment of English Administrators over companies incorporated in and domiciled in Jersey pursuant to s.426 of the  Insolvency Act 1986;

ii) the Scottish Court of Sessions seeking assistance by way of the appointment of Scottish Administrators over companies incorporated in and domiciled in Jersey, pursuant to s.426 of the Insolvency Act 1986; and

iii) the English High Court and Scottish Court of Sessions seeking assistance by way of the appointment of English or Scottish Administrators over companies incorporated in and domiciled in Jersey pursuant to s.426 of the Insolvency Act 1986 were successful.

B

Were lodged with the Royal Court pursuant to Art.49 of Bankruptcy (Desastre) (Jersey) Law 1990, asking that;

i) English or Scottish Administrators appointed over companies incorporated in and domiciled in Jersey have their English or Scottish appointments recognised by the Royal Court?

ii) English or Scottish Liquidators appointed over companies incorporated in and domiciled in Jersey have their English or Scottish appointments recognised by the Royal Court?

iii) English or Scottish Administrators appointed over companies incorporated in and domiciled in Jersey have their English or Scottish appointments recognised by the Royal Court were granted? And

iv) English or Scottish Liquidators appointed over companies incorporated in and domiciled in Jersey have their English or Scottish appointments recognised by the Royal Court were granted?

Due to the limited information available, the place of incorporation only has been considered when answering questions 2 (iii) and (iv). We are not able to comment on the domicile of the relevant companies.
