Page 166 of this shows Mr J. Richardson with a 2017 salary of £210,000 to £215,000.
Page 168 under the heading "Pension benefits" Mr J. Richardson is shown with a CETV (Cash Equivalent Transfer Value) of £3,203,000. How much of this figure was contributed from taxpayer funds as distinct from contributions by Mr Richardson himself?
Response
All members of the pension scheme receive the benefits due to them as prescribed by the scheme regulations and contract of employment. Benefits received are based on length of service and final salary. Further information cannot be provided as this constitutes personal information under Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 and is therefore exempt from release.

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.
(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –
(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018; and
(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
