Does your Trust already use an electronic inventory management solution to trace the movement of items into and out of the hospital warehouse / supplies department? This could also include the monitoring and movement of blood products, implants, patients’ records and so on.

3, 3a to 3c - Further efficiencies in inventory management inform spatial planning for the Future Hospital Project. The specific electronic management solution to trace the movement of items into and out of the hospital has yet to be determined. The Project is still at too early a stage in development for this work to be concluded (outline planning permission submitted April 2018 yet to be determined). The Project Lead is yet to be identified.

4, 4a to 4c - In relation to the solutions to trace goods and peoples flows in their logistics pathways forms an important part of operational policies being developed for the Future Hospital. The Project Lead is yet to be identified.

At this stage electronic navigation systems (an app) to support the patient, their visitors and other caregivers’ indoor navigation around the hospital site have not been explored. In relation to the Future Hospital, such an enhancement to the experience of patients, visitors and their caregivers is something that the organisation would certainly consider as a complementary enhancement to the electronic check in and registration of patients that is contained within the strategic brief. The Project Lead is yet to be identified.
