I would like further details regarding questions and responses A and C in the response shown above.

How will this affect the renewal premium of the insurance policy? Although settlement was not from the public purse per se, this would still be a public liability considering that we own the assets and the debt of the States of Jersey.

Have those who committed the offences against the siblings (as described in the third paragraph of the following Bailiwick Express article been prosecuted?

Similarly, have the relevant people within the Health and Social Services department (now Health and Community Services) faced any disciplinary action?

Individual settlements such as this will not necessarily have an impact on the State of Jersey’s insurance premiums as insurers take into account a wide variety of factors when determining premiums including the level of excess and deductibles and the States of Jersey’s vigilant internal risk management controls across all departments.
