Operational responsibility for the role of authorised officers has historically been managed as follows;

In June 2018 the Service Manager / Head of Nursing Adult Mental Health retired and the Director of Specialist Services took an interim management lead for the Adult Mental Health Service in the absence of a Service Manager for the Adult Mental Health Service. The Director of Specialist Services during this period reported to the Director of Operations - Community and Social Services.

In 2018 responsibility for matters pertaining to the new mental health and capacity laws was transferred to the Project Lead for the Legislation Team who reported to the Interim Director for Governance and Quality / Head of Nursing along with all operational mental health services.

In December 2018 the operational structure changed and an Interim Divisional Lead for Mental Health Services was appointed. This post reports directly to The Director of Health and Community Services.

The Legislation Team currently report to the Interim Divisional Lead for Mental Health.
