Request
Please can you for the past three years provide the following data, for the following schools:
Please break this data down into years 10, 11, 12 and 13.
How many children are on the Special Education Need (SEN) and Additional Teacher Monitoring (ATM) register for social and emotional reasons.
Response
Due to the small number of pupils in certain year groups, Article 25 (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to this request. Figures that are less than five are shown in the tables as <5 to prevent individuals being identifiable.
Please note that Additional Teacher Monitoring (ATM) replaced a term previously known as Class Action. ATM is not defined as a Special Educational Need (SEN), however, it is used by schools to record a noteworthy pupil characteristic. Each school has their own method of utilising the term and therefore this data represents only when a school has specifically recorded ATM with a Social, Emotional and Mental Health reference. Also note that schools did not record ATM in 2017 and that we do not collect this data for Beaulieu Convent and De La Salle College.
Please refer to the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice (available through the below link) for more detailed information on the definition of SEN:
