Request
Can I get an answer to the following request please?
How many people have registered to live on the Island for the past ten years? Please cover the periods 1 January to 31 December for the years 2009 to 2019.
Response
The Population Office publishes quarterly statistics on www.gov.je which includes the number of new registrations since the introduction of the Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law 2012 on 1 July 2013.
The figures provided relate to those newly registered individuals who have obtained registration cards, and does not include individuals who are Jersey born, or under the age of 18, who are already resident but newly registering.
