A breakdown of how much was spent on New Jersey's mayor Reed Gusciora visit to Jersey for the opening of the Public square.
To include flight costs, hotel costs, taxi costs and any other costs including security and policing of any events he visits during his stay.
Where the costs were taken from, ie public purse / tax or Finance Centre funding from office sales.
Response
New Jersey's Mayor Reed Gusciora was part of an inward delegation of nine people.
The Government of Jersey did not pay for any flight or hotel costs for the incoming delegation from New Jersey.
There was no additional Security or Policing costs throughout the visit.
The Ministry of External Relations met the cost of several taxi and coach journeys during the visit of 6 to 10 May 2019. The total cost was £328.33
The Ministry of External Relations also met the cost of a breakfast, lunch and dinner event for the US delegation and Jersey Stakeholders. The total costs were as follows:
breakfast £265
lunch £860.59
dinner £864.60
Gifts for the delegation: £167.05
Therefore the total cost incurred by the Ministry of External Relations was £2,485.57
