Request
I request information, from 1 January 2015, regarding States of Jersey Government expenditure either directly or indirectly to the United Nations, United Nations Human Rights Council and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.
The period of my request would relate from 1 January 2015 to the current date.
Response
The Government of Jersey has not directly paid any funds to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) or the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
Jersey Overseas Aid Commission is not included under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011. However, on this occasion they have confirmed they do not fund UNRWA or the Human Rights Council and that their UN funding is only for emergencies (through UNICEF and UNOCHA), and financial inclusion (through UNCDF) – one of their key programming priorities.
