Response
A secondment is a temporary move to a different role on the same pay, terms and conditions. It is an opportunity for colleagues to learn new skills and knowledge, work in a different area to broaden their awareness of Government, and give good development opportunities to support future career progression.
For the majority of staff who go on a secondment, their secondment role is at the same grade as their substantive role.
