Request
You published a response to a FOI question on 10 July about what work G4S did on behalf of the States of Jersey.
I would be grateful if you could let me know who submitted the question in the first place.
Response
This request is being refused on the basis of article 25 Personal information, Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011. See detail below.
Exemption
Part 4 Absolutely Exempt Information
Article 25 personal Information
(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.
(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if:
(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and
(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
Justification for exemption
The applicant is asking the public authority to provide personal information in relation to a Freedom of Information request. As the supply of this information would contravene the data protection principles of the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005, an absolute exemption has been applied.
