Response

A

The States of Jersey Police do not have a Managed Service Provider. Most external training is provided on a partnership basis, by other UK police forces or the College of Policing. Chief Inspector Mark Hafey is the lead officer for training.

B

The training budget varies year on year. As a small police force of 190 officers, recruit training can take a significant proportion of the budget and can vary significantly, year on year. The budget for 2020-21 is under £200,000. There is no specific annual allocation to individual areas. Each area of business will assess its training needs for the following year and bid for funds accordingly. These will be assessed by the senior management team and allocated accordingly.
