Notes:
1. Rows 1 and 2:
2. The question does not provide a definition of the “Finance Industry”. In addition Revenue Jersey is moving from a legacy industry classification to a standard industrial classification (SIC) of economic activities. Whilst this more detailed data is being gathered the information provided in the table can be considered indicative only.
3. Under the header of “Finance Industry” Revenue Jersey has included the ITIS return data provided to Revenue Jersey of employers where either;
a. the last corporate tax return filed identifies them as a Financial Services Company in accordance with the definition in the Income Tax Law and/or;
b. the SIC code classifies their activity as follows;
Revenue Jersey includes Legal services and Accountancy and Audit services under separate headers and employees in these sectors are not therefore included within the “Finance Industry” numbers.
4. Civil Servants are defined as all employees on the Civil Servants pay scale and all Tier 0 -2 employees. It does not include contractors or interims.
