Request
Details of what criteria / assessments are used to determine whether a child / young adult in Jersey is classed as having a "Special Educational Need or Disability" (SEND) and therefore is eligible for access to support measures in both primary and secondary school?
Moreover, at what point does a SEND become a formal "Record of Need" and what is the process that parents / carers have to go through in order to have their child recognised as a child with "SEND"?
Response
We have published documents on our gov.je pages to provide parents / carers with full and transparent details of this process.
