If your government is able to provide data on any of the following, it would greatly facilitate the development of country specific recommendations for surgical systems strengthening.
A.
Surgical Workforce
Number of qualified, licensed surgeons actively working in your country? This includes all surgical specialties, but excludes generalist physicians providing surgery and non physician clinicians.
Number of qualified, licensed anaesthetists actively working in your country. This includes all anaesthetic specialties, but excludes generalist physicians providing anaesthesia and non physician clinicians.
Number of qualified, licensed obstetricians actively working in your country? This includes all specialist obstetricians, but excludes generalist physicians providing obstetric care and non-physician clinicians.

Surgical volume and perioperative mortality
