COVID-19 testing programme

Direct Contacts are tested at a frequency directed by Contact Tracing – usually days zero, five and 10, but this will depend on the date of exposure to the positive individual.

Some cohorts of indirect contacts may be tested, as directed by Contact Tracing. The frequency of this testing is dependent on risk, which is assessed clinically.

Hospital pre-admissions are tested once, no more than 72 hours prior to admission.
