Request
With reference to Greenhouse Gas emissions and a notable improvement in Air Quality during an aircraft travel ban brought on by Covid-19 in 2020. I would like to know whether any studies have been made with regard to the impact of Air Pollution created by the Annual International Air Display?
Response
The Government of Jersey (GOJ) have not carried out any studies in relation to greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution directly related to the Air Display.
The Government estimate that emissions from the Air Display would be insignificant in comparison to direct emissions.
However, greenhouse gas emissions would be recorded on our greenhouse gas inventory for any of the aircraft taking part in the display that fuelled up in Jersey.
The inventory is available to view on open data using the following link.
