There are also 36 Licenced vehicles owned by the various Taxi Companies.

See below table for numbers of applicants, by age range, that are waiting for a taxi licence.

Our records show that 12 licence holders are not currently working. However, it should be noted that despite it being a legal requirement for us to be advised when a PSV licence holder is not working, we are not always notified.

Article 10 - Obligation of scheduled public authority to confirm or deny holding information

(1) Subject to paragraph (2), if –

(a) a person makes a request for information to a scheduled public authority; and

(b) the authority does not hold the information, it must inform the applicant accordingly.
