Response
Can you provide information on how much money has been spent developing the Digital Covid Status Certificate to date?
We have not centrally recorded the cost of developing the Digital COVID Status Certificate solution from other COVID IT developments. This has been managed through the Modernisation and Digital COVID team which was put in place to handle all the technology developments required to support the overall Government of Jersey COVID response, along with a number of third-party suppliers.
If possible, could you provide a breakdown of staff costs, communication regarding the digital certificate, and any funds spent on software etc.
Staff costs -
Staff costs have not been broken down specifically for the Digital COVID Status Certificate. The Modernisation and Digital COVID team is made up of individuals at varying civil service grades who work on other activities relating to their role. It would not be possible to isolate this cost in order to provide a response to your request.
Communication -
Communication is managed centrally by the Communications team. The cost of communication regarding the digital certificate is not specifically recorded or held centrally.
Software etc -
No new software was purchased to deliver the Digital COVID Status Certificate solution.
