Request

I write with regard to the mound being built on the La Collette headland referred to in the following Freedom of Information request:

Mound on the headland at La Collette (FOI)

Can you please advise regarding the following :-

Is a Planning Permit required for this type of work i.e. building of a significant bank in a Ramsar site?

Has a Planning Permit been applied for / granted, if so can I have the Planning Permit Reference please?

If there is no permit what action will the Planning Department enforcement officers / Environment Department take?

Response

A planning permit is required, and an application has been submitted under reference P / 2016 / 1647.  This can be viewed on the planning register on www.gov.je and can be accessed using the following link.

Planning application search results (gov.je)

The application has not yet been determined however the Planning and Building Section have been monitoring this matter along with Infrastructure, Housing and Environment engineering colleagues with a view to make a decision early in 2022.
