The Government of Jersey Health & Community Services Quality & Performance Report dated June 2021 quotes data for Covid 19 on Page 9. 

According to this report, confirmed Covid 19 cases were as follows:

June 2020 - 10
July 2020 - 15
August 2020 - 39
September 2020 - 49
October 2020 - 167
November 2020 - 460
December 2020 - 1735
January 2021 - 373
February 2021 - 59
March 2021 - 11
April 2021 - 5
May 2021 - 9
June 2021 - 363

These numbers bear no relationship to the figures which were given out to the public every day, especially the extremely low numbers quoted from February 2021 to May 2021 inclusive. Could you please explain exactly what all these numbers refer to?

Response

The indicator shows the number of confirmed Covid positive tests recorded each month (by date of swab). The data in this indicator matches the data supplied to the public via the gov.je website.
