Request
A
How are the daily Covid recovery statistics counted?
B
Is provision made in this for people who don't get a negative result on LFT until (or including) Day 10?
C
Is provision made not to count as recovered those whose lateral flows still showing positive on an early release day (which requires 2 negative LFTs occur within 24 hours)?
Response
A
It is a count of the case outcome status per day.
B
Yes, the case status will remain as "Unknown". Positive LFT results for a case will not count as a recovered case.
In cases when hospital admission is required or if the case remains symptomatic for an extended period of time, that case is marked as "Not recovered".
C
Yes, the case status will remain as "Unknown" during the early isolation release range in the event of a positive LFT, thus extending the duration of the case with an unknown outcome status.
