Request
Is the cost of the scaffolding at the end of Castle Street being paid for by the States of Jersey?
If so, how much has been expended on it to date?
Response
The Government of Jersey are not responsible for the cost of the scaffolding since the building on Castle Street is a private property, therefore, Article 10 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
The Parish of St Helier (POSH) would need to provide authorisation or issue a permit in relation to these works so the POSH may be receiving scaffolding or hoarding fees from the permit holder.
You may wish to contact the Parish for further information using the contact details included at the end of the response.
Article applied

(1) Subject to paragraph (2), if –
(a) a person makes a request for information to a scheduled public authority; and
(b) the authority does not hold the information, it must inform the applicant accordingly.
