Response
A
The opening revenue budget for Health and Community Services (HCS) for 2022, as per the Government Plan 2022-2025, was set at £226.29 million.
The current 2022 budget as at June is £236.68 million, which includes an increase for pay awards for Public Service staff.
B
The Government Plan 2022-25 reported a revenue budget for HCS for 2023 of £229.62 million, which excludes the financial impact of recurrent 2022 in-year adjustments still to be reflected in the Government Plan 2023-2026.
Budgets for 2023 are still under review through the Government Plan 2023-2026, which will require review and approval of the new Council of Ministers, and will not be finally confirmed until December 2022.
This process will include the consideration of funding pressures and suggestions of service improvements.
All figures above exclude any budgets aligned to the Covid-19 Head of Expenditure.
