I'm writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request some figures around domestic abuse.
I would like a breakdown of how many domestic abuse cases have been reported to police in the last 12 months and I would prefer this to be in the form of a breakdown of figures month by month starting with May 2021.

The number of domestic incidents reported to the States of Jersey Police, as recorded within the Incident Log (ilog) database is as follows:

Crime statistics for Guernsey are not held as the States of Guernsey Police is not a "scheduled public authority" as defined by the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –
(a) it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or
(b) it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
