Request
At various stages throughout the Covid pandemic the government of Jersey posted various updated travel and isolation restrictions and rules on the gov.je website, under the Coronavirus web pages.
However the website does not seem to keep a summary of the historic rules and restrictions posted. Jersey created a traffic light system listing the countries that were classified red, amber or green for travel restriction purposes.
What I want to know is: what dates France was declared red, amber and green for travel restriction and isolation purposes.
Or is there a way to access the historic Coronavirus updated posts and I can search through for what I need myself.
I am trying to build a historic timeline recording the Coronavirus events and the dates at which they were announced.
Response
The Government of Jersey holds the following information in relation to the travel classification of France:
3 July 2020
| At the introduction of the Safer Travel Policy, France was classified Green
|
9 August 2020 | France was reclassified as Amber
|
2 September 2020 | France categorised on a regional basis |
5 January 2021 | All international places classified Red |
17 May 2021 | International classifications reapplied |
13 July 2021 | Geographic classification process ends and is replaced by vaccination-based assessment |
7 February 2022 | Safer Travel Policy suspended |
