Request
I am writing to request information regarding the grading system used to categorise Emergency and Non-emergency calls received by the States of Jersey Police and Fire Services. I am ideally looking for the specific gradings and the attributed target response times, where such times exist. For example, Immediate graded CAD = 5 minutes, significant graded CAD = 30 minutes etc. I am aware that States of Jersey Ambulance Service use Red 1 through to Green 3, but I am looking for the Fire & Police service equivalence to this. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions in regards to my request.
Response
The States of Jersey Police's response grading system is as follows:
- Grade 1 (10 minutes Island wide)
- Grade 2 (attendance within 60 minutes)
- Grade 3 (Appointment – attendance or contact within 48 hours)
- Grade 4 (Resolved by telephone)
States of Jersey Fire & Rescue Service (SJFRS) calls are separated into call categories according to ProQA grading depending on severity as follows:
SJFRS currently have an interim performance target response to Purple, Red and Amber category calls of 10 minutes, from time of call to appliances on scene, and the service performance average target is 10 minutes for all calls.
