Request
1) When reading through ministerial decisions, the text often quotes financial and/or other implications as stated in a previous decision. It seems to be impossible to search for these reports on the website.
For example, in the decision for the lease on the L'Etacq bunker, it says that it relates to PH20150123. How does one search for this document please?
2) Can you please advise if the SOJ are planning on making their website more user friendly.
Response
Most ministerial decisions are public and are therefore available to view on the gov.je website. However, some accompanying reports are exempt from publication (as set out in the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011) due to the sensitivity of the material within the report. The relative exemption is noted on the decision, and in this case it is a qualified exemption under article 33 of the FOI Law relating to commercial interests.
If you have any further queries relating to reports that are not attached to ministerial decisions and it states in the decision that the report is public, email this section directly using the below email address and we will do our best to assist you.

The States of Jersey website will be enhanced on an ongoing basis. Work planned for 2016 includes replacing the ministerial decisions search facility, which uses older technology than the site’s main search engine.
Users of the gov.je site are encouraged to make use of the feedback facility which can be accessed by clicking the on the icons that appear in the bottom right-hand corner of each page. Feedback collected by this facility is regularly reviewed by the States’ web team to identify opportunities to improve the usability of the site. If an email address is provided in the feedback this gives the web team the ability to find out more information about the issue that the user is reporting and to inform the user when any necessary changes have been made.
The web team would be pleased to receive suggestions (via the feedback tool or by email) regarding how the usability of ministerial decisions pages could be improved.
