Response
Health and Community Services' Audiology Department confirm that a large donation was made to the States of Jersey by the Jersey dDeaf Society in 2005 related to the UK scheme "Modernising hearing aid services", which introduced new digital hearing aid technology, fitting procedures and working practices.
Since that time, the Society has funded Audiology equipment, development courses, and specialist equipment and assistive devices for individuals who are dDeaf or who have a hearing loss.
