Please would you set out with exactitude
A
The statutory powers or duties by which members of the Fire Brigade (who are public servants paid by taxpayers) are enabled or entitled to comment on planning applications
B
The arrangements for approving any such comments at political and/or corporate level.
C
The policy guidance under which Brigade members offer any such comments.
D
When and by whom was such guidance prepared and approved.
E
What training is provided to Brigade members as to the planning system and their duties and responsibilities as taxpayer-funded public servants in that regard.
F
Please provide details including who leads it and how often it takes place and with what attendance

The Planning and Building section (‘Planning’) within Infrastructure, Housing and Environment is required, under Article 17 of the Planning and Building Law 2002 (as amended), to consult with other government (or parish) bodies, including the States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service, about their areas of interest for planning and building control applications.

Planning are not required to ‘approve’ the comments, however, they will take them into account in any decision.

The States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service does not have a policy on commenting on planning applications.
