There are currently two films in development or pre-production by Jersey writers about the artists, step-sisters and former Jersey residents Lucy Schwob and Suzanne Malherbe (aka Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore):
- Claude by Hannah Patterson, in development with the BFI.
- Trespassers by Jonathan Socrates, announced in the media in August 2022 as expected to film in Jersey and France in spring 2023 and billed to star Vanessa Paradis and Nina Hoss.

Has the Government of Jersey provided funding to either or both of these two film projects, and if so, how much, in which year and from which government budget(s)?

Has the Government of Jersey pledged future funding to either or both of these two film projects, and if so, how much and from which government budget(s) will this be taken?

The Department for the Economy awarded the Claude project a grant of £8,760 in 2022.
B
The Government of Jersey has received an expression of interest for financial support for the Trespassers film. Having reviewed the initial request in a positive manner, a full business case has been requested that is yet to be fully considered and a decision made by Government.
C
Grant funding was provided to the Claude project to support specific pre-production costs.
